Singer, songwriter, and working cowboy, Rod Taylor continues to be a living advocate for the music that defined, and continues to be created out of, the American West. His combination of traditional cowboy ballads and the West Texas style of music paints both the historic and modern day life in the west.

Rod has performed at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada — one of the most prestigious venues for Western music and poetry in the country. His authentic connection to the cowboy way of life gives his music a depth and sincerity that resonates with audiences across the West and beyond.

Whether performing traditional ballads that stretch back generations or crafting new songs that capture the spirit of the modern working ranch, Rod Taylor brings an uncompromising authenticity to everything he does. He is not just a performer of cowboy music — he lives it.

His recordings span multiple albums, each one a testament to the enduring power of Western music. From the high desert ranges to the canyon country of the Southwest, Rod's songs carry the landscape and the life of the American cowboy into every performance.

"His combination of traditional cowboy ballads and the West Texas style of music paints both the historic and modern day life in the west."
